In 1954, visionary musician Sun Ra formed the Intergalactic Arkestra, launching a musical legacy that has spanned over seven decades. With more than 200 albums released through his El Saturn Research label and others, Sun Ra reshaped the sound of jazz with celestial compositions, spiritual explorations, and theatrical live shows featuring dancers, percussionists, and cosmic spectacle.
