Keeping Austin Swinging – 26 Years of Dance, Community & Cultural Preservation

Since 1999, Austin Swing Syndicate has hosted weekly Thursday night swing dance classes and social dances, as shown in this 19th-anniversary flyer—a testament to nearly three decades of community impact.

Now in its 26th year, the Syndicate continues to provide a welcoming space for dancers of all levels, abilities, and ages in an ADA-accessible, historic venue. The annual Austin Lindy Exchange (ALX) further strengthens this legacy, bringing together local and international dancers and musicians to celebrate Lindy Hop and live jazz at the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs Headquarters (2312 San Gabriel St, Austin, TX 78705).

Through consistent programming, cultural preservation, and community engagement, Austin Swing Syndicate remains a driving force in Austin’s arts scene, making swing dance accessible to all.
